01

A small site with a clear purpose

AION 2 Stats is an independent website focused on the Steam release of AION 2. It exists to make a few useful questions easier to answer: how busy is the game on Steam, what happened at launch, and what can those figures reasonably tell a player? The aim is a readable reference that keeps the underlying sources close to the numbers.

Game launches produce plenty of confident headlines. A player deciding whether to join usually needs something more practical: a current observation, a dated historical record, and enough context to understand the difference. Our approach starts there. We do not need every fluctuation to become a dramatic story, and we do not treat a single statistic as a complete assessment of the game.

02

Independent, and explicit about it

This website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by NC, NCSOFT, Valve, Steam, or SteamDB. References to the game, platform, and data providers identify the subject and sources. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Visiting this site does not create an account with the publisher, grant game access, or provide official customer support.

For installation, purchases, account questions, or service announcements, use the official Steam listing and the publisher's own channels. Our links help you reach those sources, but an external website sets its own terms and controls its own content. We cannot verify your account, recover a character, resolve a billing dispute, or speak on behalf of the people operating AION 2.

03

Where the figures come from

The current-player card uses Steam's public current-player endpoint for AION 2's application ID, 3393110. A successful response supplies a concurrent-player count, which is displayed with the time our server received it. Steam notes that this endpoint does not include people playing while disconnected from Steam. It also does not include people playing through unrelated launchers.

Review information comes from Steam's review endpoint. We request a summary across all languages and purchase types, with off-topic activity filtered out. The positive share is calculated from positive recommendations divided by the total returned review count. We display the sample size because a percentage without its scope can be misleading. Different storefront filters and third-party rating formulas may produce different results.

04

Historical records are not live observations

Our launch record cites SteamDB's chart page and identifies the date of the reported peak. The embedded history loads automatically and is served directly by SteamDB. We do not claim ownership of that provider's observations or imply that our current-player request contains a complete archive. A historical number remains historical even when you refresh this website.

We do not fill missing periods with made-up samples. When a source cannot be reached, a visible unavailable state is more honest than a plausible-looking chart. The launch record may need editorial correction if the underlying source changes. Its source-check date is shown separately from the timestamps attached to current player and review information, so those two kinds of freshness stay distinct.

05

What this site can and cannot establish

Concurrent activity is useful for following broad patterns, but it does not measure unique monthly players, retention, revenue, or the population of an individual server. This website does not receive private account records or publisher financial reports. We avoid presenting those quantities as if they could be worked out from the number of people online at one moment.

The same restraint applies to gameplay advice. A large audience does not guarantee a good match for every player, and negative reviews do not mean that nobody enjoys the game. Consider your preferred activities, region, schedule, and tolerance for its progression systems. Our role is to explain public evidence, with clear limits, rather than to make the decision for you.

06

How we approach the writing

The English copy is written for people reading about games in English. It favors direct explanations over promotional language and keeps observations separate from interpretations. The homepage introduces AION 2 Steam launch stats in context, then explains concurrency, reviews, and source coverage. Numbers should support an explanation instead of becoming a substitute for one.

When a statement depends on a public source, we make that source available. We do not promise that a statistic proves commercial success, and we avoid unsupported claims about players or developers. A useful update changes information or adds context; simply changing a date does not make an article more current. Corrections should be reflected in the relevant record and explanation.

07

Privacy and website analytics

This site loads Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics automatically when a page opens, without an on-site consent prompt. Clarity helps the operator understand how visitors navigate the dashboard and read its explanations. It can collect interaction data and session recordings. Google Analytics measures page visits and navigation. This website does not provide a separate analytics preference control.

Google Analytics can help the operator understand page visits and navigation. Microsoft Clarity can provide interaction analytics and session recordings. Those providers may process device, browser, usage, and network information under their own policies. The current implementation sends no account details because the website has no sign-in system. You should still avoid including personal information in URLs you share.

08

Browser settings and external content

Your browser may offer settings or extensions that limit third-party scripts and cookies. The effect depends on the browser and the tools you use; changing a browser setting does not automatically erase information already received by an analytics provider. Read the linked provider policies for details about their data practices, retention, and available privacy request procedures.

The SteamDB chart is a separate external resource that loads automatically on the homepage. Loading it connects your browser to SteamDB, which may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address. Following any source link likewise takes you to a website with its own privacy practices, separate from this site's automatic analytics integrations.

09

Keeping the reference useful

An upstream outage should not look like a population collapse. Failed refreshes keep previously observed values marked with their original times, and unavailable readings are never converted into zero. The dashboard refreshes periodically while it is visible, but it is not a second-by-second monitoring service. Its timestamps and source links are there to help you judge what you are seeing.

If a number looks surprising, open its source and compare the scope before drawing a conclusion. A review filter, a time zone, or a later observation may explain the difference. This project stays focused on the Steam population story. For the latest available reading and the dated launch record, return to the homepage; for service status and official changes, consult the publisher.
